There is a downtime of 4-5 days, involving swelling and redness. You may experience crusting, dryness & peeling in the treated areas, similar to being sun burnt.

5-10 sessions are usually needed. After each session, your skin should look brighter and feel firmer.
Side effects for Fractional CO2 Laser are generally very low. You may experience the following after the procedure which is normal and will go away after a few days.
Pain & Redness:
You may experience slight pain similar to a sunburn and notice redness or a tingling sensation at the treated area. This is a temporary effect that generally occurs within 48 hours, but it will fade away.
Peeling:
After the treatment, you may also notice some skin peeling at the treated area, which is normal as the procedure removes your superficial skin to reveal the new skin underneath.
The peeling will subside within a couple of days, and be sure to keep away from sun exposure to avoid further peeling.
Swelling:
You may experience swelling around the treatment area, which will subside within 2-3 days. You may apply moisturizer to minimise the effects.
Spots:
These spots are generally seen as a minor reaction to the laser, and there is no need to worry if you see them. They will fade away gradually after one week or more as well.
